"Bike & Food"
Six day loop tour mainly based on
wine tasting and gourmet meals.
Two overnights at Le Clos de la Touche,
Four overnights at two partners of ours,
One last night at Le Clos de la Touche


You wish to enjoy good food and good drink while covering short daily distances with a pick-up facility (in case you get exhausted ...) with chateaux and nice places of interest to visit in this part of the Loire ?
All accommodations that have been chosen are particularly nice and comfortable.
You will like this tour if you wish to appreciate nice meals together with good wine, pleasant company and reasonable cycling distances through lovely sceneries.
We need four to six persons to organize this tour.

 

  • Usual welcome ceremony at the railway station and shuttle to Le Clos de la Touche. Quick dinner and enjoy a quiet night !

  • Day 1: "warm-up" day ride 20 to 30 Km to start up, as all our tours, return to Le Clos de la Touche. Nice dinner and good night.

  • Day 2: beautiful ride, 40 km, to get to your first overnight place and have "open" dinner at a nice restaurant downtown.

  • Day 3: local ride, visit places of interest, "wine festival" in the afternoon and "family dinner" cooked by your hostess.

  • Day 4: cycle 40 km, to get to your second overnight place and have "open" dinner at a nice restaurant downtown.

  • Day 5: local ride, visit beautiful city of Saumur, wine caves and enjoy "gourmet dinner" cooked by a "chef" for you.

  • Day 6: choice of places to visit before cycling back to Le Clos de la Touche or get picked-up in the evening.
    Last evening "gourmet dinner" at a local nice restaurant.

  • Day 7: last breakfast before going back to the railway station

  • Bicycles and equipment, road-book, maps, briefings . . .

On the basis of 4 persons sharing 2 bedrooms (double or twin), 7 nights, 5 evening dinners, all local shuttles included.
NOT included in above price :
Train tickets, lunches, two evening dinners, extra drinks, chateaux entrance fees, personal expenses.
